Cap & Headwear Embroidery in South Africa

Baseball caps, golf caps, beanies and bucket hats — embroidered on curved peaks where most printers struggle.

Cap-frame embroidery, done right

Why embroidery beats print on headwear

Caps and beanies are notoriously hard to print on. The curve of the peak, the seams, the foam fronts on truckers — they all conspire against a flat finish. Embroidery sidesteps the problem entirely. We use cap-frame attachments that hold the headwear in place so the needle can stitch a clean, raised, durable badge that ages well with sun, sweat and washing.

Headwear we embroider

  • Baseball caps — 5-panel, 6-panel and trucker styles
  • Golf caps — structured, unstructured and performance fabrics
  • Beanies — knitted and fleece-lined for winter
  • Bucket hats — crown and brim placements

Where we put the embroidery

  • Front centre — the classic, most-requested placement
  • Side panels — secondary logos, sponsor marks, dates
  • Back arch — over the closure, brand or club name

Things to know before you brief us

  • Stitch size matters. Cap fronts have less real estate than a chest panel — we'll often suggest simplifying very fine logos so they embroider clearly.
  • You supply the caps — pick the style, colour and fit you want. We'll embroider whatever you bring.

Caps usually arrive on the same brief as polo shirts and uniforms. We can run the whole order together so the logos match across the lot.

Common questions

Cap & headwear embroidery FAQs

Do you supply the caps or do I bring my own?

You supply the caps and headwear. We embroider whatever you bring — baseball caps, golf caps, beanies, bucket hats, visors and snapbacks. Most clients buy from a headwear supplier they like and just need a reliable embroiderer to add the brand.

How small can the design go on a cap front?

The cap front is roughly 6–7 cm wide of usable embroidery space. Anything smaller than that becomes hard to read on a curved peak. We'll often suggest simplifying very fine logos so they translate cleanly at cap-front size — we'll tell you in the brief whether your logo needs adjusting.

Can you do 3D puff embroidery on caps?

Yes — foam-front caps suit 3D puff embroidery, where a foam underlay is sandwiched under satin stitches to give a raised, premium look. It works best on simpler bold designs (chunky letters, simple shapes). Ask us if your design suits the technique.

What is the minimum quantity for cap embroidery?

No minimum. We embroider single caps for individuals all the way through to full team kits. Once the logo is digitised the per-cap rate stays the same.

How long does cap embroidery take?

Cap embroidery follows the same 5–7 business-day turnaround as other apparel orders, measured from the day we have both the caps and your approved digitised logo on file.
